If you had an account with us before, it is gone, and that was deliberate.
Our systems were compromised earlier this year. We could not establish with certainty what
was taken, so rather than tell you your old password was safe when we could not prove it, we
closed every account on the platform. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We thought it was
the only honest option.
What we do and do not do
- Nothing exists until you click. Until you confirm, there is no account, no subscription, and nothing that can be mailed to. If you never click, the request is deleted and no trace of you remains.
- One unsubscribe link, and it never expires. It is not a login. Our old one expired after a year and then quietly failed for years, which we did not catch. The new one cannot expire, because there is nothing stored to expire.
- One email per cycle, not one per search. You can keep up to six alerts and they arrive together in a single message.
- No algorithm screens you out. Your application goes to the employer, not to us, and a person reads it.
- We never sell or rent your information. Not your resume, not your email address, not your searches.
- We ask again in about eighteen months. If you do not confirm then, we stop writing. We would rather have a small list of people who want the mail.
