The short version. We collect as little as we can get away with. We do not store resumes. We never see your card number. We do not sell your information to anyone, for any price, and there is no version of this business in which we would.
ExecSearches.com, Inc. We have run executive job listings for nonprofit and public sector organizations. Reach us through the contact form, which is the fastest way and the one we watch.
We do not collect, request or store resumes, CVs, work history, references, salary history or demographic information. When you apply for a role, you apply to the employer directly through the link or address in their posting. Your application does not come to us and we never see it.
We do not run targeted advertising, we do not build behavioral profiles, and we do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
Only the companies that have to, in order for the site to function:
A job posting is published content, so everything you type into a posting form is public by design, including the contact details you choose to put in it. Put a role-based address rather than a personal one if that matters to you.
Alert subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Every alert email carries a working unsubscribe link, and it is one click, not a survey. Postings and the records of payment for them are kept as business and tax records. Server logs roll over on a short cycle.
Whatever jurisdiction you are in, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Write through the contact form and say what you want. We do not charge for it, we do not make you create an account to ask, and we answer within thirty days.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you those rights plus the right to object to processing and to complain to your data protection authority. Our lawful basis is your consent for alerts, contract performance for a posting you paid for, and legitimate interest for keeping the site secure.
Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA you have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for asking.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is no opt-out link below because there is nothing to opt out of. We do not collect sensitive personal information as the statute defines it, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
The categories we collect are identifiers, meaning your email and optionally your name and phone number, commercial information, meaning the posting you bought, and internet activity, meaning server logs.
This site sets no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking cookies. What it uses is the minimum needed to remember a form in progress and to keep a session working. Cloudflare may set a security cookie to distinguish you from automated traffic. You can block all of it in your browser and the site will still work.
The site is served over HTTPS everywhere. Passwords, where any exist, are stored as one-way hashes and cannot be read back by us or anyone else. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe, which is why a breach of our systems could not expose a card number.
We will say plainly if something goes wrong. If a breach affects your information we will tell you and the relevant regulator within the time the law requires, and we will tell you what we know rather than waiting until we know everything.
This is a site for senior professional roles. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.
We are in the United States and that is where the data is processed. We list roles outside the United States and we welcome readers from anywhere, and if you write to us from outside the country your information crosses a border to reach us. By using the site you understand that.
No automated system makes a decision about you here. We do not screen, score, rank or filter candidates, because we never hold candidate data to screen. Matching a job alert to your stated preferences is keyword matching, not a judgment about you.
Every commercial email we send identifies who sent it and carries a working unsubscribe link that we honor immediately rather than in ten business days. We do not buy email lists and we do not send to addresses that did not ask for anything.
The date at the top changes when the policy does. The previous version, dated January 1, 2023, had not been revised in years and described a system we no longer run. If we ever make a change that materially reduces your rights, we will say so at the top rather than quietly editing a paragraph.
Use the contact form. It reaches a person. Written requests about your data go to the same place and are not routed to a queue nobody reads.
ExecSearches.com is one of several job boards and publications we run. Each one keeps its own privacy policy, because each collects slightly different information. If you reached this page from one of the others, that site's policy is the one that governs what it collected.
A posting you buy on one board may, if you choose that option at checkout, also appear on another board in the network. When it does, the posting itself and the contact details you put in it move with it. Nothing else does, and your alert subscription on one site does not subscribe you to another.
