SourceAmerica is a nonprofit organization that connects government agencies with a national network of nonprofit agencies that employ people who are blind or have other significant disabilities. SourceAmerica serves as an intermediary to help these nonprofits compete for and win federal contracts.
POSITION SUMMARY
SourceAmerica is seeking a Senior Contract Specialist to join the Legal team. This role provides full contract life cycle support for Prime and subcontract vehicles, including solicitation review, drafting contract terms, negotiation support, risk evaluation, post-award contract management, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and program objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guide team members on contract matters and train new employees
- Manage day-to-day administration of Prime and subcontract requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for audits (DOL, DCMA, DCAA, GSA)
- Negotiate contract and subcontract terms throughout the procurement cycle
- Review solicitations and manage technical and price proposals
- Track contract values, analyze production costs, and evaluate invoice payments for compliance
- Advise management on contractual rights, obligations, and risk mitigation
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Legal Studies, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in federal contract/subcontract administration (pre-award, award, and post-award)
- Demonstrated knowledge of FAR, DFARS, AFARS, SCA, and DBA
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract management documentation
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Preferred: 10+ years of experience; strong cost accounting and analytical background
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability and willingness to travel based on business need
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with Legal, Finance, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Must be able to work independently in a hybrid or remote environment
SALARY
$115,000 - $125,000 annually

Vienna, VA (National Office) - Hybrid/Remote options available. Multiple locations: +3 More Locations
